IBEDCPay | Utility Payment Solution

The Challenge

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) needed to improve revenue collection and reduce physical queues. They required a mobile-first solution allowing customers to pay bills, view history, and manage accounts on the go.

The Solution

I solely developed the IBEDCPay mobile application for Android and iOS. I focused on accessibility, creating "Alternative Login" methods for users who might forget passwords, allowing access via Meter Number alone.

Key Features

Frictionless Payments: Integrated secure payment gateways (Polaris, Flutterwave and FCMB) for instant electricity bill settlement.
Account Management: Enabled history tracking and account generation for new customers directly in-app.
New Account Creation: Created a seamless process for new customers to create electricty accounts and start paying bills.
